Simple Modern 32 oz Summit Water Bottle: My Honest Review After 1.5 Years

I purchased my Simple Modern 32 oz Summit water bottle about a year and a half now, and it’s one of those purchases that I legit use everyday. I actually love it so much that I’ve even bought a few as gifts for family members too.
I originally bought it because I was struggling to drink enough water throughout the day. I wanted a water bottle that I could easily bring with me wherever I went, including to the gym, and I preferred the idea of a stainless steel bottle over having an entirely plastic water bottle.
The Summit checked a lot of those boxes. It’s insulated stainless steel, comes in a ton of colours and sizes, and the plastic parts of the lid are BPA-free.

Why I bought it
My biggest goal was pretty simple: I wanted to drink more water.
I was struggling to get my daily water intake in, and I thought having a water bottle that I actually liked would make it easier to keep water with me throughout the day.
I wanted something I could take to the gym, keep beside me at home, and throw in the car when I was heading out. I also specifically wanted stainless steel rather than an entirely plastic bottle.
The Summit comes in a lot of different sizes and colours, which made it easy to find one I actually liked the look of. I chose the colour “blush” because I’m a pink girly, and it’s the perfect pink colour!
What I like about it
The biggest thing is that it actually keeps my water cold for several hours. I usually fill it up and don’t have to worry about my water getting warm while I’m out for the day or at the gym.
It’s also just a nice bottle to carry around. One thing to note is that the 32 oz version doesn’t fit in my cup holder, so if that’s important to you, I’d stick with the 30 oz.
I also really like that there are different lid options. You can choose between a chug lid and a straw/sippy-style lid, depending on what you prefer.
For me, it’s the combination of cute colours, durable stainless steel, insulation, and portability that makes it stand out.
It's easy to clean
One of my favourite little features is that it’s dishwasher safe.
I use my water bottle every single day, so being able to put it in the dishwasher makes cleaning it so much easier. It’s one of those things that I didn’t necessarily think about when I bought it, but I’ve really appreciated over time.
How has it held up?
Pretty well!
I’ve had mine for about a year and a half and use it daily. It has definitely picked up some scuffs along the way because I’ve dropped it a few times, but that’s more a reflection of how much I use it than a complaint about the overall quality.
It’s still the bottle I reach for every day, which I think says a lot.
In fact, I liked mine enough that I’ve purchased them as gifts for family members.
The one issue I had
I did have an issue with the lid on my first bottle.
I found that the lid could leak when I put the bottle in my purse, and I also had an issue with the straw not having good suction. I contacted Simple Modern and submitted a warranty claim, which was approved.
Unfortunately, the product was out of stock when they went to replace it, so instead I was given a credit with Simple Modern.
I appreciated that they honoured the warranty and resolved the issue, but there is one important thing I’d point out for Canadian shoppers.
Because the warranty process is through the American Simple Modern site, Canadian customers may be responsible for shipping costs and duties/fees when ordering from the US. So while I was happy with the way they handled my warranty claim, that’s something I’d keep in mind if you’re buying from Canada.
Who I think it's for
I think this is a great everyday water bottle for anyone who wants something that is:
- Stainless steel and insulated
- Easy to take on the go
- Comfortable to carry
- Easy to clean
- Available in lots of colours and sizes
- Able to keep water cold for hours
- Practical enough to use at home, in the car, or at the gym
So, is the Simple Modern Summit worth it?
For me, yes.
I’ve used it daily, without fail, for a year and a half. I like that it’s durable, keeps my water cold, and is easy to clean.
The lid issue was frustrating, but I was happy that my warranty claim was approved and that Simple Modern offered a solution.
And despite that one issue, I liked the bottle enough to buy more as gifts for my family – which they all love and use daily.
Would I buy it again?
Yes! I would absolutely buy another Simple Modern Summit, and I would continue giving them as gifts too. It’s one of those products that isn’t particularly “exciting”, but it does exactly what I want an everyday water bottle to do—and after 1.5 years, I’m still using it every day.
